Waterjet cutting

Waterjet cutting

Waterjet cutting is a high-precision cutting process that uses a high-pressure jet of water, which can be combined with abrasive, to cut almost any type of material.

This technology allows the cutting of materials up to 150 mm thick, including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium alloys, copper, ceramics, marble, stone and composites, among many others. The process is entirely cold, causing no thermal, structural or molecular alterations to the material.

TSwaterjet operates state-of-the-art equipment capable of cutting large-format parts up to 6 × 3 metres, ensuring high precision, repeatability and excellent surface finish, even for demanding geometries.

Thanks to its flexibility and accuracy, waterjet cutting is ideal for industrial production, as well as for one-off parts, small and large series, and customised projects.

Main Benefits of Waterjet Cutting

• Cold cutting process, with no heat-affected zone;

• High precision and excellent surface finish, with clean and uniform edges;

• Allows cutting of virtually all metals and many other materials using the same process;

• Capability to cut large thicknesses;

• Reduced material waste, thanks to dimensional optimization programs that ensure better use of raw material;

• Preserves the original mechanical properties, even in heat-sensitive materials;

• Clean and sustainable process;

• Fast and flexible production, with average lead times between 24 and 48 hours, depending on the project.
